Happy Birthday to us!

Kids Helpline is officially 30 years old.

(But we don't look a day over 29!)

Let's have a laugh and look at how things changed over the last 30 years. Plus we've got exciting stuff coming in the future.

The ways you interacted with us changed a lot over that time - especially the technology!

What hasn't changed is that we support you and listen to you, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Molly shares how Kids Helpline changed her life.

From pay phone to Facebook - our 30-year glow up

In 1991, mobile phones didn't exist! You could call us from a home phone or payphone.

Our website launched in 1996, and by 2000 you could also contact us on email or WebChat.

When mobile phones were invented, all new issues came with them, such as sexting.

In 2011 we launched Kids Helpline @ School, allowing us to visit your classrooms using video calling technology.

In 2013 we joined the conversation on social! You can now find us on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

In 2019, we launched niggle, the app that allows you to capture your niggles and do something about them!

The future's bright

We're always looking for new things to try when it comes to helping you!

Macey was last year's competition winner, answering the question, "What is the challenge you faced and how did you get through it?"

This is a sample video made by Zarine from our Youth Advisory Group. You don't have to appear in your video if you don't want to!

16-year old Jasmyn takes you behind-the-scenes in creating her competition entry.
