Your school could be one of up to 40 primary schools awarded $1,000 to support student wellbeing with a nature-based activity
If your school is selected for funding you will be contacted by someone from the Kids Helpline team to confirm next steps and make arrangements for the payment of funds.
Every primary school in Australia can apply to participate in the In Nature Activity.
The In Nature Activity is an initiative by Kids Helpline & Bupa
This activity will benefit your school and students by...
- Creating a positive link between young people and the environment
- Providing psycho-education about climate change (in the video we send you)
- The chance to have practical implementation of the eco-based strategy taught in the video (ACT strategy) for current and future student cohorts
Nature activity ideas
- recycling initiative
- worm farm
- gardening education for students with takeaways i.e. potted plants/seedlings
- rain barrels
- nature block i.e. veggie patch/garden bed/animal habitat
- rubbish cleanup
Conditions of participation
If your school is selected for funding, and as a condition of participation, we ask that your school sends through at least 3photographs of the activity for promotional use by Kids Helpline and Bupa Foundation. Please ensure all photographs are unidentifiable (i.e. no photos of students' faces/school logos).
If your school is successful, some of the information provided in your application form may be used by Kids Helpline and Bupa Foundation to share on our social media panels or for reporting.
All material pertaining to this activity will be used for promotional purposes only.
No personal or demographic student data will be captured when participating in this activity.
Submitting an application form does not guarantee that your school will be selected for In Nature Activity funding.
Students who do not wish to be photographed are still able to participate in the activity.
Please ensure that the consent form is signed and returned to us if images of students are included.
