All through primary school I was bullied
,
The kids were so mean. They called me 'gay' and other names like that. They told me to go die in a hole and that nobody would love me, that I would die alone. They told me I was worthless. I was diagnosed with depression and tried to self-harm.

I think I'm bisexual...
,
At first when people found out I was bisexual, they just thought I was in denial about being gay. I started to like another boy around my age. It wasn't easy... he didn't want anything to do with me and didn't want to talk to me after finding out that I liked him. That was the hardest part. Luckily I've had very supportive friends, but my family still don't know.

She turned everyone against me
,
She made me feel bad in every way possible. She even turned everyone against me - all the people I used to call my friends became my enemies! I hated my life and wanted to kill myself. It took some time, but I finally went to the school counsellor who told me about Kids Helpline.

Now I'm proud to be bisexual
,
It's really difficult to talk about, especially if you aren't heterosexual. At school, I could never get changed in front of other girls without getting really nervous. I distanced myself from other people because I was worried about what they would say. My father thought I was lying and just trying to be 'cool'.

They made me feel like I was small and insignificant...
,
They took my happiness away and made me feel like I was small and insignificant. People always tried to tell me that it would get better, that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. But I never believed them – instead, I always believed the people that threw words at me like they didn’t hurt.

The biggest mistake I made was not telling anyone I was going through this
,
It started with negative thoughts about me. I felt like I had no way out. Every time I tried to talk to my friends, I felt ignored. My friend and family had no idea I was suffering. I was self-harming at the time as well. I felt worthless and unloved. I sought counselling soon afterwards and felt better every time I went there.
