This app has some confusing elements, but really good concepts overall and I would recommend it to others.
A user friendly app that focuses on challenging unhelpful thinking patterns and providing users with positive thoughts to help better manage a range of mental health and wellbeing concerns. The design makes the app easy to use, but the information can become repetitive and tedious. There seems to be little education to highlight the reasons why a user’s belief might be unhelpful, and there appears to be cultural considerations given to suggestions. Overall, the app is worth exploring but may not be suited to users who are disengaged within 10 minutes.

Mood App allows you to communicate with other users and has a customisable journal and mood tracking function. The app doesn’t seem to address anxiety and depression or provide resources to educate others about mental health as advertised.
Mood app: Journal is well-designed with engaging features including journaling, mood-tracking, and community support where users have the option of sharing their concerns publicly. The app community seems to be very active and appears supportive. The developer website is under-developed, and there is a lack of clarity about data collection, data privacy and confidentiality guidelines for the app. Considering users tend to share some very personal information, this app is not recommended for users concerned about their privacy.

This app allows users to capture in a diary any triggering events from their day, identify related thoughts, and create alternative thoughts. Helpful information about CBT is available. A very basic app and dull display.
Thought Diary is a helpful app for understanding the basics of using a thought diary and supports users through clearly explaining CBT techniques. The app is well designed and useful as a learning tool but lacks in engagement.

Really great app. Can change courses to what you would like to work on. Really enjoy the 'instant help' component. Good breathing exercises and videos.
Pocketcoach is an excellent app containing a wealth of resources to help with various mental health issues, including anxiety. Friendly design, very accessible and non-stigmatising language and lovely structure of the exercises. Lots of free content, but access to further paid content is also available at a reasonable price.

Good app that allows you to choose from 3 customisations in which you can then enter answers based on your own experiences. Information in activities is very informative. App is very easy to use and ability to have 'coach' for support and to schedule calls/texts would help with achieving goals.
Joyable is an excellent, well-designed app, aimed to help users with depression and anxiety. It offers structured modules with daily exercises and the option to connect with a personal counsellor via phone call or SMS. It was developed by an expert team and uses CBT practices to offer support.

Really good app that has a range of useful functions including strategies and tips for anxiety including 'quick reliefs’, coping cards, meditations, belief experiments, and you can even create a fear ladder to overcome fears and take you out of your comfort zone. Very diverse and useful app and would recommend this.
MindShift offers a series of CBT exercises, guided meditations, and journaling functions to assist users experiencing Anxiety. The app also provides an option to export and share data with mental health professionals via email. The design and functionality of the app is not very engaging, but overall this is an excellent self-care app for users seeking a simple option for addressing their concerns, and learning about, Anxiety.

This app is easy to use and offers a good range of resources to help address user concerns including articles, an SOS section, and mood tracking. The audio from the app continues to play when screen is exited which is great for allowing users to explore in-app functions while still listening.
DARE-Break Free From Anxiety is an excellent app offering a diverse range of easily-accessible podcast-style audio tracks, exercises, and challenges addressing anxiety related concerns. A paid subscription provides users with additional features. Highly recommended!

This app has a good mood tracker that allows you to track multiple emotions with percentages, has good range of exercises along with lessons and videos although these are sometimes hard to follow. There were a few errors with the app including the 'tour' option not working.
CBT Companion is truly an impressive, well-designed app! Not only does it incorporate a vast amount of information (via text and videos) about mental health, it also offers a variety of meditation tracks, a diary function, assessments, a community discussion board, quizzes and more. A 5-star app if not for some issues with functionality.

Beautiful app visuals that feel very calming. The app offers a range of techniques such as mediations, thought journals using CBT techniques, and a day planner. The app doesn’t offer much information on stress, depression, or low mood- but is overall a nice app that I would recommend to others.
A memorable and simple diary-style app that offers users mindfulness, thought challenge, and diary keeping functions in a clearly structured format with excellent visual design.
