Highly certified app with very entertaining components relatable across multiple types of populations such as students and children. Although it is high quality with information and interactiveness, I would not necessarily pay for the app and in some cases I feel if students or children were to use the app without their parent's knowing for personal uses it may be difficult for them to want to pay for some of the most beneficial features which are not for free.
This Headspace app makes meditation simple! This app uses the principles of mindfulness meditation to help improve focus, mood and sleep while working to reduce anxiety and stress. The free version allows users to 10-session trial before needing to subscribe to have access to a wider variety of sessions and programs. The downfall is that the subscription can be expensive.

Allows users to set and monitor the number/length of time they would like to use their phone each day.
This app sets out to help users find phone/life balance by monitoring and tracking phone usage. It has a clean and simple design and while not designed to be engaging, it may help curve phone usage by using reminders and highlighting patterns of use.

Job searching app; pretty much exact same as the website but more compact.
A popular and widely used app that allows users to find jobs using a wide range or filters and categories. Allows customisation and can alert you when new jobs get listed that match your search preferences.

Encourages kids to create lunch events with people they know (from school or people around them etc) so that no one ever needs to sit alone at lunch. Good concept for an app - theoretically though, it could be misused.
Sit With Us promotes inclusion in schools by connecting students through organised lunches. A great concept, however only works well if others in your school have and use the app. There is an opportunity to become an ambassador and promote this app in your school community.

Calm harm uses the principles of “urge surfing” and “behavioural activation” to target individuals who have the urge to self-harm. Whilst these principles are appropriate for this population, they may require more active involvement to be satisfactorily implemented with this, a low help-seeking group.
The app has a great idea in attempting to prompt users to participate in distracting activities while they ride out the urge to self harm. The app is quite passive, however, in that it expects users to complete each activity completely on their own. Some activities could easily be facilitated by the app but not so easily by a user. One, for example, involves rolling a dice. Whilst the app could easily incorporate a function to roll a dice, a user is very unlikely to have a dice on hand. In this way, I believe the app places a little too much onus on the user and does not deliver as much functionality as it could. That said, it functions well and is a great idea.
