Take precautions even if you think 'it won't happen to me'. I thought that and I fell pregnant twice! It's hard but I now have the support of my family.

Being pregnant and telling my parents was the hardest thing. But they were more supportive than I thought. And I got to go back to school after the birth.

I got pregnant at 15 and felt depressed and alone. Learning about my options and telling my mum helped. I got my confidence back and now I'm back at school.

NEVER give up on your dreams

It was the scariest thing ever. I took a home pregnancy test thinking it was going to be negative, thinking I won't be pregnant. It could never happen to me. Thinking I can't be. I went to the doctor to get tested and found out I was already 12 weeks pregnant! I had been in denial that it could never happen to me. Being pregnant and having to tell my parents was the hardest thing, especially since I had just moved to another state to live with my Dad.

They really helped me get my confidence back

Most of my friends had boyfriends and we were always going out to parties. That's where I met my boyfriend. He was a year older than me and we got on really well. That was until I got pregnant at age 15.
All my friends including my boyfriend were all very supportive.
I was starting to feel slightly depressed about the situation and that's when I started calling Kids Helpline. They really helped me get my confidence back and 9 months later I had my beautiful baby boy. I am 17 and still call Kids Helpline.
