I struggled with suicide and homelessness
,
My name is Nash. I’m 19. I love football, country music and my dog. I’m also a proud Torres Strait Islander!
I started experiencing mental health challenges in my early teen years. I was bullied at school and started to self-harm. I thought that males were meant to bottle things up and I didn’t show any emotions.

This app is not a downloadable app but rather a website optimised for mobile use. It has an initial dashboard with several options. After clicking one of these options, the app asks some qualifying questions then loads a list of services related to the initial option selected in the users local area. Excellent service.

The Handy Guide
Young adult feedback
Not designed as an app, it is a website that uses Google Maps to show services available to homeless people within the Brisbane region. Given how rich of a resource this information is, there are a plethora of options (toilets, WiFi, shelters, food, etc). I would say it's very valuable to those in the Brisbane region.
Expert feedback
This is a website users can visit on their mobile device which connects to the Google Maps app and displays facilities and services relevant to homeless people. This information is only provided for the greater Brisbane region.
